Eric Yocum

Eric Yocum is a Northern California native with roots in the Sacramento commercial mechanical industry, with his family having been involved in the industry for over 40 years. He began his career in 2002 working on energy retrofit projects and joined IES in 2005 as an entry-level service mechanic.

Eric completed his apprenticeship through Local 447 Plumbers and Pipefitters union, becoming a Journeyman, and quickly rose through the ranks at IES, serving as a Foreman, General Foreman, and Superintendent. His growing interest in business operations led him to take an opportunity as a Service Manager with IES.

A career milestone came when Eric took an opportunity and successfully built and led a new Mechanical Department at a reputable multi-trade contractor in Northern California. After five successful years, he returned to IES in 2024 as Senior Vice President, and in 2025, he was named President.

Eric’s believes in a "people first" philosophy in managing, with a strong focus on company culture, teamwork, and delivering outstanding customer service. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family traveling, attending his daughters various sporting events and outdoor activities of various kinds.
